BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SENIOR CONSULTANT LIFE SCIENCES (Pharma/Bio Pharm) – Report into CEO

Their areas of expertise are: Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, PV and Drug Safety, Quality

They are looking for domain experts and management consultants to develop innovative solutions that make a long-term impact on their clients and on patient’s lives and with experience as industry executives, regulatory agency experts who are passionate about implementing transformational changes.

We are looking for a Business Development (Sales) expert to identify and cultivate new client account and drive sales of their service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Define near-term and long-term strategic sales goals

Identify potential new customers in the small to mid-sized biopharma space, focusing primarily on solutions within the R&D domains

Establish, grow and maintain key customers relationships

Identify business opportunities, negotiate, and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current t market conditions

Contribute to the creation of client proposals in terms of scope and approach, duration, differentiator, etc.

Build a scalable BD capability, including an account management model and key sales metrics

Skills Required

Entrepreneurial spirit and keen interest in helping to build a scalable sales capability

Self-starter who understands and has demonstrated ability to leverage all available channels to establish contracts and promote our key messages

Ability to think strategically and execute methodically

ability to work in a fast paced environment where continuous innovation is a must

Proven track-record selling consulting advisory services to the biopharma industry. A focus on clinical and regulatory areas is strongly preferred .

Has built a network of contracts including decision makers in senior roles, ideally across Clinical Development, Quality, Safety, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Procurement

Understands the emerging biopharma space and companies in this market segment(not just large pharma)

Comes to our team with ideas and gets genuinely excited about helping emerging biopharma clients succeed

Likes the idea of taking a compelling value proposition and using it to help rapidly expand our footprint to clients, regionally and globally

Travel expectations: as needed, but like about 30%

Key skills and experience

  • Bachelor degree, MSc or equivalent
  • 15-20 years of experience either in selling consulting services in the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Development and Partnership Management
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with senior executives, but with an ability to speak to all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated commitment to stay abreast of industry trends and technical advancements across multiple business sectors
  • Knowledge of general computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as experience working with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot)
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organizational within an international
